Jackson is fairly worried about MIA Stephanie. He runs around the building looking for her, only to come across a distressed and frazzled patient. When he comes out of the building, Maggie and April scream at him for being reckless and not thinking about Harriet and his family.
At the end of the episode, Maggie apologizes profusely to April, feeling as though she's overstepped a boundary. April tells her colleague that Jackson and Maggie obviously care for each other, so Maggie should go for it. Still, something about April's encouragement feels a little too curt to be completely genuine.
There's something really sweet about Jackson and April. It's mind-blowing to think how they survived so much together since season six. They truly care for one another, have a child together, and even share a secret tryst when Jackson awkwardly confronts his father. But it'll be interesting to see the dynamics between Jackson and Maggie, should the show writers pursue it (which they most likely will).
