Meet All of the New Characters Joining the 13 Reasons Why Cast in Season 2

The world of 13 Reasons Why is getting quite a bit bigger in season two. Netflix's hit drama exploring the aftermath of high-school student Hannah Baker's suicide, and the 13 tapes she leaves behind explaining why she did it, is returning this month with 13 more episodes. You'll be seeing a handful of new faces this time around, all of whom have interesting connections to the characters we already know and love. In addition to season one's core cast (who are all returning), Variety recently revealed descriptions for a few of the actors who have signed on. Meet each and every one of them ahead!

Kelli O'Hara

Tony award-winning Broadway star and Masters of Sex actress Kelli O'Hara is joining season two of the Netflix drama as Jackie, an "a warm, intelligent, passionate advocate for victims of bullying."

Anne Winters

Anne Winters

Replacing Jessica as head cheerleader is Chloe, played by Tyrant actress Anne Winters. Chloe is Liberty High's gorgeous "It girl," so we're excited to see how she factors into the story.

Bryce Cass

Bryce Cass's new role on 13 Reasons Why is one of his biggest to date. He stars as Cyrus, a "cynical mischief maker" who unexpectedly rises to prominence at Liberty High School as a "champion of the downtrodden."

Chelsea Alden

Chelsea Alden

You might recognize Chelsea Alden from her work as Alissa in American Horror Story's sixth season, but you'll be able to catch her next as Mackenzie in 13 Reasons Why. Mackenzie is Cyrus's sister, and is described as "artsy and witty" and a girl "who isn't afraid to speak her mind."

Allison Miller

Allison Miller, who plays Laura on SyFy's Incorporated, will appear as one of the "smart and ambitious" litigators working on the case between the Baker family and Liberty High School.

Samantha Logan

Samantha Logan

Samantha Logan has had roles on teen-centric shows like Teen Wolf and The Fosters, so 13 Reasons Why should be a natural progression for her. She's playing Nina, "a well respected track star" who has a deep secret that will come into play in season two.

Brenda Strong

Brenda Strong is playing Bryce's mom in season two. Her casting is pretty coincidental when you take into account that she's most famous for her role on Desperate Housewives, where her character's suicide launches the mysteries that shroud every corner of Wisteria Lane.
