13 Reasons Why: 10 New Faces You'll See on Season 2
13 Reasons Why debuted its first season on Netflix back in March, earning largely positive reviews from critics and an immediate legion of fans. Even though it could have easily been a limited series, the streaming service wanted to keep the conversation going around this powerful show that touches on everything from sexual assault and suicide to bullying and navigating the treacherous waters of high school in this day and age.
So in May 2017, Netflix renewed the series for a second season, which is slated to this Friday. Most of the original cast will be back, but there are a ton of new faces joining the lineup. Here's are all the new actors we know about so far!
Anne Winters
Variety revealed a slew of new cast members in August. Winters will play Chloe, Liberty High's It girl and new head cheerleader.
Bryce Cass
This fresh face will play Cyrus, a champion of the underdogs, who likes to stir the pot. (It's worth noting that he's grown up quite a bit since this photo!)
Chelsea Alden
Alden is playing Cyrus's sister Mackenzie, an outspoken, artsy girl.
Samantha Logan
Logan has been cast as Nina, a star track athlete who harbors a secret.
Allison Miller
Miller has joined the cast as a lawyer, presumably as part of the Baker family's lawsuit against Liberty High.
Kelli O'Hara
This Broadway veteran will play Jackie, an advocate for bullying victims.
Ben Lawson
Lawson is playing Rick, the beloved high school baseball coach.
Brenda Strong
According to Deadline, Strong will play Bryce's mom, Nora.
Jake Weber
Weber will play opposite Strong as Bryce's father, Barry.
Meredith Monroe
This Dawson's Creek alum will play Alex's mother, Carolyn, who works as a nurse.
