The Perfectionists: All the New and Returning Cast Members of the Pretty Little Liars Spinoff

Pieterse will be reprising her role as PLL's Alison DiLaurentis, only this time she's gone "from mean girl to mentor." DiLaurentis is working as a professor at Beacon Heights University whose "goal is to help students." "When she meets the perfectionists, she spots them out immediately," Pieterse told Teen Vogue. "She sniffs [them] out. She's like, 'These people are different than my other students. Something's happening here.'"

Parrish will be reuniting with Pieterse and reprising her role as Mona Vanderwaal. However, instead of being the social climber that she once was, she's now working as a counselor at the school. "She moves to Beacon Heights to try to reinvent herself and start from scratch," Parrish told Teen Vogue. "But ultimately, she's still Mona. Darkness still follows her. She's still mysterious."

The former Descendants actress joins the cast as an influencer "whose schoolwork often takes a backseat to her career." Carson described Ava to Teen Vogue as "compassionate" and "strong" but alluded to the fact that Ava has some dark secrets, just like all the perfectionists. "There's so much depth and dimension to her story, and she carries so much on her shoulders, and yet she carries it with so much grace," Carson explained. The newcomer is taking on the role of a "very driven" student named Dylan Walker. He loves music and his boyfriend, but just like everyone else, he's hiding some dark secrets. "[Dylan] grew up in a small town as an out gay kid," Brown told Teen Vogue. "I think that he has a lack of trust and confidence in himself, and he feels the need to overcompensate, which is why he pushes himself so hard."

The series marks King's TV debut, and he'll be appearing as Hotchkiss Industries scientist Jeremy Beckett. Even though he's smart, he, too, is hiding something.
