A Closer Look at Every Ominous Polaroid in the 13 Reasons Why Trailer

The wait is finally over . . . we have an official premiere date for 13 Reasons Why, so get your calendars out, and write this down. Season two of the hit Netflix series is coming May 18, which is just weeks away, and we're freaking out.
In addition to Netflix releasing the premiere date for the highly anticipated sophomore season of 13 Reasons Why, they dropped an all-new teaser trailer that you need to watch. As fans know, season one of the show follows the death of Hannah (played by Katherine Langford), who leaves behind 13 cassette tapes for her classmates to uncover.
Based on the newest trailer, season two will have a similar show-and-tell aspect to it, but this time it'll be as a result of photographic evidence. According to Netflix via Variety, this season will pick up after Hannah's death and will feature a "series of ominous Polaroids" that lead Clay (played by Dylan Minnette) and his classmates to search for even more answers. This time around, they're trying to uncover a "sickening secret and a conspiracy to cover it up," and we've already gotten our first look at some of the clues.

Tony (played by Christian Navarro) is clearly going to get into trouble this season . . . just look at that shiner on his eye. We wonder who gave it to him and why he still has a cassette tape in his possession.

Poor Jessica (Alisha Boe). It looks like she hasn't exactly escaped the horror of what happened to her. Her tears are warranted since her rapist is still out on the loose, and her brave face for her friends doesn't stretch into the safety of her own bedroom.

Hannah's death really does affect everyone at Liberty High, including Mr. Porter (Derek Luke). The stress surrounding a teen suicide at the high school is hitting him pretty hard based on his facial expression.

Clearly Bryce (Justin Prentice) hasn't stopped his party all day, every day lifestyle. In fact, the Polaroid on the left shows that these parties are going to be just as out of control and sketchy as ones of the past.

As Clay gets ready to go to trial — the trial Hannah's parents have begun with their lawsuit — he is still haunted by Hannah and everything she went through. Side note: he looks dapper in that ensemble.
