A sleepover film for the ages, Clueless follows a story similar to Jane Austen's Emma. Cher (Alicia Silverstone) is a shallow, popular high school student whose priorities revolve around her friends and her (insanely cool) closet. But despite how she appears on the surface, she also feels a need to help those less fortunate than her. Case in point: her new friend Tai (Brittany Murphy), whom she grooms to be a prodigy of herself. Although things start out the way Cher likes them, they begin to take turn after surprising turn. While Cher grapples with the going-ons at school, she also finds herself looking for love in the most unexpected place.
