Frozen 2 Will Include New Songs, and Even More Dazzling Details We Have About the Sequel

Details about Disney's Frozen 2 have been pretty scarce since the film was first announced in 2015, but years later, we finally know more about the highly anticipated sequel. In November 2018, the film's co-director Jennifer Lee revealed that there will be four new songs — and that's not all! Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, and Jonathan Groff are reprising their roles as Elsa, Anna, Olaf, and Kristoff, respectively.

The New Stars

Evan Rachel Wood and Sterling K. Brown are confirmed to join the sequel. Brown will voice Lieutenant Matthias, with Wood as Elsa and Anna's mother, Queen Iduna.

There are already four new songs in the works for the sequel, and it sounds like one of them just might be the new "Let It Go." "We have a new song that I think is an evolution," co-director Jennifer Lee told Variety. "It's its own song . . . Bobby [Lopez] and Kristen [Anderson-Lopez] just delivered it three weeks ago. We've been working with them for two years and this song just came in and I love it."

Elsa and Anna will really test their limits in Frozen 2. Lee told Variety that the sequel will be "bigger, more epic" than the first and the leading ladies are "going to go far out of Arendelle" this time around.
