Carola Lovering's novel Tell Me Lies captures the raw vulnerability and addictive love within a toxic young relationship. When Lucy goes to collage and meets the very charming and complicated Stephen DeMarco, she senses that something feels off, but she can't quite turn away. It's a dark, sometimes devastating coming-of-age story, and I'd like to see how Lucy and Stephen's dynamic might translate on screen. As for which actress might be able to do Lucy's story justice? I'd pick Riverdale star Lili Reinhart, who's no stranger to playing a nuanced young woman.
