A TV Version of Action-Thriller Hanna Is Coming to Amazon — Watch the New Teaser!

If you thought the brief Game of Thrones footage that HBO shared during the Golden Globes telecast was the only exciting look at a new TV show premiering this year, think again. Amazon released not one but two exciting, albeit mysterious, teasers for Hanna, the streaming giant's new action-thriller series.
Based on Joe Wright's 2011 film starring Saoirse Ronan, the series sees Esme Creed-Miles taking over the title role as a dangerous, highly trained teenage assassin being hunted by a FBI agent. The show was created by one of the film's original writers, David Farr, who also penned AMC's lauded spy series The Night Manager.

The Plot
The eight-episode series will likely take a few diversions from the film, but it seems the gist remains the same: a young woman is raised in the secluded wilderness of northern Finland, where she's been trained by her father Erik, an ex-CIA operative, to become the perfect assassin since the age of 2. Her father is in possession of a CIA secret that puts a target on his back, and he knows that one day, Hanna will have a showdown with the ruthless, dogged intelligence agent who's been hunting him. Hanna ends up going on a solo mission across Europe, encountering dangerous enemies along the way.

The Cast
Hanna reunites The Killing's Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman, who will play CIA agent Marissa and Hanna's father Erik, respectively. Eighteen-year-old Esme Creed-Miles is taking on the role of Hanna and has previously appeared in the films Mister Lonely, Dark River, and Undercliffe.
Teaser 1: "Baby Heist"
Without giving too much away, the first teaser Amazon released hints at a key plot point about Hanna's origins.
Teaser 2: "Fugitive Fakeout"
We see Hanna in action as she takes out one of the agents on her trail.
Super Bowl Teaser
The teaser released in anticipation of Super Bowl Sunday includes way more pulse-pounding footage, including good looks at Hanna, her father, and Marissa.
