Everyone Is Out For the Throne in These Chilling New Character Posters For Game of Thrones

The final season of Game of Thrones is quickly approaching, and it's almost time to pledge your allegiance to the final victor #ForTheThrone.

On Thursday, Feb. 28, HBO took to Twitter to unveil 20 new character posters that serve as the perfect reminder of who remains in the realm and who exactly is vying for the Iron Throne. The posters depict fan favorites including Jon Snow, Tyrion Lannister, and Sansa Stark, seated on the Throne along with one of their most memorable quotes. The unveiling also revealed that each character has their own emoji to go along with their hashtag, which is absurdly cute for a show that's had a man's eyes popped out of his head.

Of course, these posters aren't just posters; as with everything else in GOT, there are little throwbacks to previous seasons and hints to the upcoming end. The entire concept is similar to the first ever promotion that HBO presented for the show way back in 2011. And how could anyone not notice that Jon Snow is posed eerily similar to Ned Stark's pose from his season one promotional image, though he's noticeably more upright than his father uncle was. It also looks like we got our first look at Sansa in her more armored outfit. She definitely looks like "the warrior of Winterfell" in that getup!
