If You Don't Already Love the Cast of Bless This Mess, You're No Friend of Ours

Actor, writer, director, and podcast host Dax Shepard — who is perhaps best known for playing Crosby Braverman in NBC's Parenthood — stars as Mike, half of a newlywed New York City couple who decides to leave their unfulfilling lives behind and move to rural Nebraska after Mike's great-aunt dies and leaves them an old farmhouse.

Actress, director, and screenwriter Lake Bell — who has appeared in rom-coms such as Over Her Dead Body, What Happens in Vegas, It's Complicated, and No Strings Attached (and has no relation to Shepard's wife Kristen Bell) — costars as Rio, Mike's wife. Bell co-created and co-wrote Bless This Mess with Elizabeth Meriwether, and she will also serve as an executive producer on the series.

Veteran actor Ed Begley Jr. — who first rose to fame playing Dr. Victor Ehrlich on St. Elsewhere — appears as Rudy, one of Mike and Rio's new neighbors who seems pretty amused by the city slicker couple's efforts to adapt to their new lifestyle.

Pam Grier — '70s film star most recently recognized for portraying Kate "Kit" Porter on Showtime's The L Word — plays Constance Terry, the town sheriff and local store owner who is always up-to-date on the latest town gossip.

JT Neal — who most recently played Mike in Netflix's original movie Sierra Burgess Is a Loser — appears in the series as Jacob, a super-hot corn-fed local who works in the town store.

Best known for playing Champ Kind in the Anchorman films and Todd Packer on NBC's The Office, David Koechner is set to play Beau, though his character's role in the series hasn't yet been revealed.

Best known as the creator and co-star of NBC's Best Friends Forever and USA Network's Playing House, Lennon Parham appears in the series as Kay Bowman, though her character's role has also not yet been revealed.
