What I'm Listening To This Week: Brockhampton, Che Sav, and Miley Cyrus

Brockhampton's latest album, Ginger, is just perfect: It's exactly what I needed to get me through these (rather depressing) last days of August. In this edition of What I'm Listening to This Week, I'm using music as the ultimate escape after an emotionally charged month. Here's what you should slam the play button on this week, and why.

"Slide Away" by Miley Cyrus

Cyrus released this groovy breakup song on the heels of her split from husband Liam Hemsworth, and I've been listening to it on repeat ever since.

While heartbreaking, it's also a declaration of growth, empowerment, and moving on — one that she performed incredibly at the MTV VMAs this week. Say what you want about Miley Cyrus's lifestyle or public antics, but to deny her vocal talent is just absurd.

"Set the Tone" by Che Sav

Play this sultry R&B jam while you're getting ready for your next Hinge date, and thank me later.

Ginger by Brockhampton

The latest album from hip-hop boy band Brockhampton is exactly what I need right now: it's just perfect from beginning to end. I don't even know what else to say.

Standout tracks: After much consideration, I have to go with "Sugar" and "St. Percy," but then I also really love "Love Me For Life." It's all too good. Help!
