AMC's three-part drama Quiz tells the story of a con gone wrong. On Sept. 9, 2001, then-Major Charles William Ingram appeared on the British version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire and cheated his way to a win with help from his wife Diana and their accomplice, Tecwen Whittock, who were sitting in the audience. The trio concocted a scheme where a cough would signify the right answer, but the plan later got them caught. The series stars Matthew Macfadyen as Charles Ingram, Michael Sheen as TV presenter Chris Tarrant, and Fleabag's Sian Clifford as Diana Ingram.
