Your Guide to Every Single Show Coming to The CW in 2020

The CW has a smaller lineup of new shows in 2020, since, for the second year in a row, it renewed almost its entire current slate of shows (aside from the already-announced final seasons of Arrow and Supernatural). That means we'll be getting more of all the superhero shows we love, plus the return of staples like Riverdale, smaller faves like Roswell New Mexico and Charmed, and even newbies including Nancy Drew and Batwoman. That doesn't mean there's no room for new series for us to get to know and love! The always-creative network has some highly anticipated titles in the pipeline for 2020, including two more Arrow-verse spin-offs and a Riverdale spin-off set a few years in the future. Here's what you can expect to see debuting on The CW this year!

Katy Keene

The CW's first confirmed new series of 2020 is a spin-off of their hit drama Riverdale. It follows Katy, an aspiring fashion designer whose roommate is Josie (of Josie and the Pussycats). Intriguingly, the show takes place five years in the future compared to Riverdale itself, and it's reportedly going to involve plenty of music as Katy, Josie, drag performer Jorge, and fashion entrepreneur Pepper work to make their creative dreams come true in New York City.

Premiere date: Feb. 6

Green Arrow and the Canaries

Green Arrow and the Canaries

The Arrow spinoff hasn't officially been ordered to series yet, but the penultimate Arrow episode serves as a backdoor pilot for the pitched sequel series. It takes place in Star City 2040, where Oliver and Felicity's daughter Mia Queen is "woken up" to memories of her superhero life by 2020's Laurel Lance and Dinah Drake. The Canaries have arrived to deal with an imminent threat that requires Mia's help, drawing her back into action as the new Green Arrow.

Premiere date: TBA, but the Jan. 21 episode of Arrow was the show's backdoor pilot.

Superman & Lois

The CW ordered this Supergirl spin-off straight to series, with an anticipated debut later in 2020. It spins off Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch) as they deal with professional struggles and parenthood, plus, you know, the tiny detail of Clark's double life as Superman.

Premiere date: TBA, most likely Fall 2020
