13 Times Schitt's Creek's David and Patrick Proved Soulmates Do Exist

Just as they're about to open Rose Apothecary, Patrick and David share this cute little moment where Patrick filches David's juice. David says it's OK because Patrick has a clean mouth, but Patrick won't give him back his juice because he has a sloppy mouth. Um, cute much?!

Um, so both of their mouths may have just gotten a little sloppy a few episodes later! In one of the show's best episodes, Patrick gives David the framed receipt of their first sale, and both Stevie and David realize that he asked David out on a date. Soon after, David finally breaks the tension building all throughout the third season by kissing Patrick for the first time ever.

To zhuzh up business, Patrick proposes an open mic night, very much to David's chagrin. However, it turns out that David has a butter-voiced beau, who sweetly serenades him with a gentle acoustic version of "Simply the Best."

There's trouble in paradise when David learns about Patrick's ex-fiancée Rachel. When David is ready to reconcile with his boyfriend, he lip syncs to "Simply the Best" with a lovely interpretive dance.

"Singles Week" was a little bit about Alexis (and Ted), but it also has some of the most precious David and Patrick moments in all of Schitt's Creek's history. After David talks about Alexis's awkward love confession, Patrick tells David that he loves him, saying that David is his Mariah Carey. To which David replies, "I would like to thank you for saying all of those nice things to me." Ugh.

After a heartfelt conversation with Ted, David takes the leap and tells Patrick that he loves him back. It's almost a perfect moment, except he forgot to get Patrick a cup of tea.

This moment isn't one of those earth-shattering ones in the Patrick-David saga, but it's cute as hell. Patrick convinces David to be a replacement on his baseball team. While reluctant at first, David eventually hits the ball and makes it back to home safe. Look at this cute, gooey, warm post-win embrace.

Is it even possible to get through "Meet the Parents" without becoming a puddle of human tears? Johnny accidentally reveals to Patrick's parents that Patrick and David are dating, though they didn't know that Patrick was gay. After coming out to his parents at his birthday party, Patrick slow dances with David to Aqualung's "Brighter Than Sunshine."

Patrick and David's relationship just gets better with time, no? Their hike gets off to a rocky start when David is reluctant to walk. When Patrick's foot gets caught in a branch, David disinfects it with his hand sanitizer, because of course he has hand sanitizer. They just really complement each other, OK?

Buuuut yet again, that moment manages to be upstaged mere minutes later. As David fishes the food from the backpack, Patrick directs him towards a set of rings — engagement rings! David, of course, says yes. Love that for them!

After spending the night with Patrick, David realizes that he's wet the bed, which happens when he's too excited about something (this time, his wedding). In typical David fashion, he tells Patrick that they must never see each other again. To which Patrick has a calm and measured response, followed by a reassuring "I love you."

This time it's Patrick who's a little bit out of the loop after having his wisdom teeth yanked out. High on dental surgery drugs, he tells David that he's a hungry hippo. This moment is just too pure for this world.

Taking pictures with Ray for their wedding, David suggests that Patrick go to a tanning salon for a light touch-up. The session turns Patrick into an Oompa Loompa, but many showers later, Stevie captures a candid picture of them being their adorable selves.
