Almost 10 Years Later, Here's What the Cast of iCarly Is Up to Now

It's been nearly a decade since we said goodbye to the cast of iCarly, but the beloved Nickelodeon series is officially coming back! Paramount+ is reviving the show, with Miranda Cosgrove, Jerry Trainor, and Nathan Kress all reprising their respective roles as Carly Shay, Spencer Shay, and Freddie Benson. The reboot will also feature some new faces, including Laci Mosley and Jaidyn Triplett. The 13-episode series, which premieres on June 17, will follow the group as they navigate their careers and personal lives in their 20s.

"It's kind of funny because in the show iCarly, Carly's character goes to college after she is in Italy with her dad for a few years, she goes to college and then she ends up coming back to the show. iCarly was like me in real life," Cosgrove told People. "And she starts up the show for the first time in 10 years. So when we were doing the scene, it was kind of weird for me just because that's exactly what I'm doing. I'm starting the show again for the first time in 10 years. So there are a lot of moments like that within the show where it really mirrors my real life."

iCarly ran for six seasons from 2007 to 2012. Given how much time has passed since then, let's see what the cast has been up to, shall we?

After making a name for herself on iCarly, Cosgrove went on to voice Margo in the Despicable Me franchise and landed roles in the Crowded TV series and the movie The Intruders. In addition to returning for the iCarly revival, Cosgrove is studying psychology at the University of Southern California. "I actually changed my major a few times, so it's kind of funny," she told Entertainment Weekly in April 2020. "I went to USC 'cause I was homeschooled for most of my childhood. So I still feel like right now, even though I'm 26, I'm still kind of figuring out what other things I maybe want to do."

Following iCarly, McCurdy continued her role as Sam in the spinoff series Sam & Cat. She also nabbed roles on several TV shows, including What's Next for Sarah?, Between, and Adam and Wiley's Lost Weekend, as well as movies like Blingand Pet. In addition to acting, McCurdy made her directorial debut with a short film titled Kenny in 2018. She also launched her very own podcast, Empty Inside, on which she confirmed that she would not be returning for the iCarly reboot, as she's retired from acting and would rather focus her efforts on writing and directing.

As for his personal life, Kress is now married to his wife, London, and they have two kids together, Rosie and Evie.
