"I was a huge fan of Insecure and of Issa's long before I ever auditioned for the show. I loved that it was an honest portrayal of women just like me and my friends in my own neighborhood of South LA. Joining the cast was more than a dream come true, it was a reminder of how specifically God answers our prayers sometimes. I had prayed to work on a show about and for black women similar to Insecure. God said I'll do you one better," Elmore wrote on Instagram. "I've already said goodbye to the show as an actor, but tonight I join everyone else in saying goodbye as a true fan."
She added, "Thank you @issarae @the_a_prentice @msmelina and all of the amazing writers, directors, EPs, cast and crew for a spectacular ride. I'm forever grateful."
