The Fab 4 Juggle New Drama, Old Love, and Spicy Twists in the "Harlem" Season 2 Trailer

Call all your friends, because Prime Video's "Harlem" is finally returning for season two!
The streamer announced season two's premiere date on Dec. 7, teasing first-look photos of the fab four — Camille (Meagan Good), Quinn (Grace Byers), Angie (Shoniqua Shandai), and Tye (Jerrie Johnson) — on what looks like a tropical vacation, then revealed a closer look at the upcoming season in the first trailer, released on Jan. 5. In the season two preview, the girls find themselves juggling new drama in their love lives and workflows as they gear up for a hot girls trip.
"Harlem" was arguably one of the best TV shows to come out of 2021. Between the all-star cast, feel-good soundtrack, and real-life bond between the actors, there's so much to love about it, and now we'll get to swoon over the series for another exciting season.
On Feb. 17, Prime Video announced that the show had officially been renewed for season two. Given its breakout success, there was no question that the show would be back on our screens in no time. Shortly after its winter premiere, the new series managed to snag two NAACP Image Award nominations, for outstanding comedy series and outstanding directing in a comedy series. Just as viewers love the show, the cast do as well, and they have their own creative predictions for season two.
Johnson previously told POPSUGAR that when the show returns for its second installment, they want Tye to "attempt to engage romantically and consistently with one person or persons." And if the show decides to incorporate the COVID-19 pandemic into its storyline somehow, Johnson is curious to see what Tye would do during quarantine, given that she wouldn't be able to go to the office. We also spoke with Sullivan Jones (Jameson), Robert Ri'chard (Shawn), and Juani Feliz (Isabela) about their expectations for season two.

The logline for "Harlem" season two says, "After blowing up her career and disrupting her love life, Camille (Good) has to figure out how to put the pieces back together; Tye (Johnson) considers her future; Quinn (Byers) goes on a journey of self-discovery; and Angie's (Shandai) career takes a promising turn."

"Harlem" Season 2 Cast
Good, Johnson, Byers, and Shandai obviously return as the show's core four stars. Other returning actors include Tyler Lepley, Sullivan Jones, and Whoopi Goldberg, though it's unclear if anyone else from season one will reprise their roles. However, plenty of new faces are joining season two, according to Deadline, including Rachel True, Courtnee Carter, and Luke Forbes as recurring characters, and Rick Fox, Sherri Shepherd, Countess Vaughn, and Lil Rel Howery as guest stars.

Jerrie Johnson on "Harlem" Season 2
"I would like to see Tye attempt to engage romantically and consistently with one person or persons — I mean, polyamory is a cute topic. But I would like to see what that does for her. I would also — if we include the context of quarantine — [like to see] what Tye would do during quarantine when she can't be in the office. I'm curious about that."

"I would love to see more Whoopi Goldberg just because she's Whoopi, so why not? And then, how are they going to outdo "Get Out, The Musical"? It has to be like they make a movie or they redo "Hamilton" or something crazy because it's funny. The people I talk to about the show, they're like, 'That was bonkers.' The whole "Get Out" storyline is amazing."

"Dating in the 21st century is so complicated. This show having a tech component and spotlighting that is incredible . . . For everybody to sit back at home, be represented on this show, and say, 'I'm going through the same sh*t, girl,' I think that's the one thing that I'm most excited about is 21st century dating on this show."

Juani Feliz on "Harlem" Season 2
"There's so much to be explored. I personally would want to see Quinn (Grace Byers) and Isabella give it a shot. I think they have the foundation to have a really strong, deep connection and relationship because they're coming from a place of friendship. They have this care for each other and this mutual respect and I think it will be fun to see how Isabella kind of holds Quinn's hand through all of this, because it's not going to be easy. It's not going to be a walk in the park. But I think that they're going to learn so much from each other and champion each other. And I think they have a beautiful relationship.
But I'm also just curious to see all of the problems they're going to have — whether it's with their mother [or] whether Shawn (Ri'chard) is still in the picture — what [are] all those conflicts and how they're going to tie in a comedic element. That's what I would be excited to see."
