Much like Elle Woods heading off to Harvard to make something of herself, Johanna (Beanie Feldstein) leaves her small British town to move to London to make a name for herself as a journalist. She goes through a bit of a reinvention of sorts, becoming a bold, mouthy woman who says what she thinks and goes after what she wants. And while Elle initially went to Harvard to chase Warner, Johanna's intentions are a little more respectable: She wants to make it big so she can take care of her parents.
