Astronaut Sam Bell (Sam Rockwell) is on a three-year job on the moon for Lunar Industries, which is responsible for providing clean fuel to be used on Earth. As his contract comes to an end, Sam is anxious to return home and be reunited with his wife and children, until he unexpectedly discovers another human on the moon with him — a clone of himself.
