Dustin Hoffman's breakthrough role as Benjamin Braddock in "The Graduate" paved the way for him as an actor and influenced cinema for years to come. A wedding may not be at the forefront of "The Graduate," but like other films, it explores the complexity of romance and features a pretty iconic wedding scene at the end. Recent college graduate Benjamin is torn between his love for the young, beautiful Elaine (Katharine Ross) and her seductive mother, Mrs. Robinson (Anne Bancroft). When Benjamin finally realizes his true love for Elaine, Mrs. Robinson forbids the two from seeing each other out of jealousy and Elaine gets engaged to Carl Smith (Brian Avery).
