Pete Davidson's "Bupkis" Shows a Glimpse of His Wild Lifestyle in the Series Trailer

Art continues to imitate life for Pete Davidson in his upcoming Peacock comedy series. The comedian and former "Saturday Night Live" cast member will soon star in what's described as a "heightened, fictionalized version" of his real life, which we now have a closer look at.

Peacock released the "Bupkis" trailer on April 14, showing Davidson playing himself as he navigates a slew of wacky adventures — from high-speed car rides with golden guns in tow to his many tabloid stories. "I just want like a regular type life," he says in the clip, though from the looks of the show, the comedian lives anything but that.

On Oct. 14, 2022, Peacock confirmed to POPSUGAR that production on the series, titled "Bupkis," was underway, noting that the half-hour comedy will be a combination of storytelling with "absurd elements from the unfiltered and completely original worldview for which Pete is well known."

At that time, the streamer also shared a first-look photo of the series featuring Davidson and Academy Award-winner Joe Pesci, who plays the comedian's grandfather. Peacock then followed up with more first-look photos on March 15, which feature shots of buzzy guest stars like Davidson's former "SNL" castmate Kenan Thompson and his rumored girlfriend and "Bodies Bodies Bodies" costar Chase Sui Wonders. Emmy Award-winner Edie Falco also stars in the show as Davidson's mom.

This will be the second semi-autobiographical project for Davidson, who previously cowrote and starred in 2020's "The King of Staten Island," which was loosely informed by his family dynamic and mental health journey.

Davidson's professional and personal lives will provide plenty of material, following a string of high-profile relationships — including one of his most recent with Kim Kardashian and alleged one-month fling with Emily Ratajkowski — and his 2022 exit from "SNL." "SNL" boss Lorne Michaels is onboard the series as an executive producer for Broadway Video alongside Davidson, who writes and executive produces. Meanwhile, showrunner Judah Miller and Dave Sirus are writing and executive producing alongside executive producers Andrew Singer and Erin David. Jason Orley directs and co-executive produces as well.
