Generally speaking, the dating series gives couples a choice: to stay in their current relationship and commit to marrying their partner, or move on and spark a connection with someone else on the show — aka someone else who's also in a relationship. In a test of love and commitment, the couples are forced to evaluate whether their relationship is meaningful enough to commit to by entering into a "trial marriage" with someone else. But season two ups the stakes since every participant could match with any other person on the show.
