Netflix's animated movie "Nimona" is about Ballister Boldheart, a former knight who's wrongly accused of murder. The only person who doesn't turn their back on him is the shapeshifter Nimona, who insists on being his sidekick in villainy. Ballister has a relationship with another knight, Ambrosius Goldenloin, and Nimona's own journey against hate is clearly an allegory for the isolation and fear faced by trans people.
