Following the smash success of "The Wedding Planner," Lopez booked the role of Marisa Ventura, the lead character in "Maid in Manhattan." Marisa makes a living as a maid in a swanky Manhattan hotel. In a series of funny and erroneous events, she catches the eye of political mogul Christopher Marshall, who is under the impression that Marisa is a fellow hotel guest.
