So when Ron Stallworth (John David Washington) becomes the first Black detective at the Colorado Springs Police Department, he enlists Zimmerman's help to invade and take down the Ku Klux Klan. Zimmerman goes undercover as Stallworth, who leads the investigation from his desk phone and gets Zimmerman an in with a Ku Klux Klan leader. The movie unfolds from there.
