"Transparent"'s Alexandra Billings Will Star as a Trans Mother in "Queen Tut"

The movie follows a queer teenager from Egypt who, after the loss of his seamstress mother, leaves Cairo for Toronto. There, he meets a trans woman who inspires him to complete one of his mother's most important unfinished dress projects. Entering Toronto's queer nightlife and developing a drag persona, he finds a way to give new life to his mother's legacy.
