10 Spooktacular Animated Halloween Episodes You Can Stream or Watch on TV

Some of the most iconic "Rugrats" episodes are the Halloween specials that include season one, episode nine, "Candy Bar Creep Show"; season six, episode 12, "Ghost Story"; and arguably best of all, season eight, episode three, "Curse of the Werewuff." All of which are available to stream now on Paramount+.

Call me dramatic, but the "SpongeBob SquarePants" Halloween-themed episodes just might go down as some of the best in all of the show's 12 seasons (and counting). The most iconic is, hands down, season one, episode 13, "Scaredy Pants"/ "I Was a Teenage Gary," when SpongeBob tries to dress up like a ghost — and has his pal Patrick literally trim him down to round size.

Other "SpongeBob" Halloween episodes include season seven, episode seven, "Curse of Bikini Bottom"; season nine, episode nine, "Don't Look Now"; season 11, episode five, "The Legend of Boo-Kini Bottom"; and season 12, episode 21, "A Cabin in the Kelp." Aside from the iconic costumes Nickelodeon's "Danny Phantom" is responsible for, season one, episode 13 of the show, titled "Fright Knight," goes down as a classic Halloween episode. Stream it now on Paramount+.

Cartoon Network's "Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends" has given us many a classic episode, and season, one episode 13, "Blooooo," is one of them. Thanks to HBO Max, you can rewatch this episode and other spooky ones from the cartoon series right now.

"The Amazing World of Gumball" is another Cartoon Network staple that goes all out for Halloween. Its season two episode named after the spooky holiday is one many fans enjoy, in addition to season three, episode 23, "The Mirror"; and season four, episode 39, "The Scam." All of which and more available to stream on HBO Max and Hulu.

Cartoon Network's "Regular Show" has its own special Halloween series titled "Terror Tales of the Park" that spanned across the cartoon's eight-season run. What started as an ordinary episode in season three quickly became a signature that viewers loved seeing from the show. "Family Guy," best known for its witty commentary and jokes, also has some hilarious Halloween episodes that have grown to be classics. Most notably, season nine, episode four, "Halloween on Spooner Street," is one that remains a fan favorite among the rest — which also includes season four, episode 26, "Petergeist"; and season 14, episode four, "Peternormal Activity." "Bob's Burgers" is another cartoon favorite that puts out hilarious Halloween episodes, including season five, episode two, "Tina and the Real Ghost"; season seven, episode three, "Teen-A-Witch"; season 11, episode four, "Heartbreak Hotel-oween"; and season 12, episode three, "The Pumpkinening" — all available to stream on Hulu now.

Netflix's R-rated animated series "Big Mouth" has one Halloween episode titled "Horrority House" (yes, pun intended) that, of course, doesn't take a break from its puberty-fueled humor. But if you're looking for a spooky-themed episode and lots of laughs, be sure to stream season four, episode nine on Netflix.

"The Simpsons" is known for a lot of things: hilarious memes, predicting true events, and being one of the longest-running cartoons on TV (currently on season 34). But the animated series' other claim to fame is its iconic "Treehouse of Horror" Halloween franchise — and lucky for you there are plenty of episodes to watch on Disney+ right now.
