He's back before long, though, as the new CFO for Antoine's company, Maison Lavaux. After Emily serenades him at a solstice festival, they get back on solid footing. He's protective of her when Nicolas slights her and goes to bat for his best friend, Gabriel, when he asks Antoine for a better business deal. Unfortunately for Alfie, he's there when Camille blows the lid on his girlfriend and best friend's romantic history, and he walks away, unwilling to be Emily's "second choice."
