Shari Lapena's "Everyone Here Is Lying" gives readers a clue about the residents they will encounter in the Stanhope community. Stanhope is meant to be the perfect place to raise a family. William Wooler is a Stanhope man as far as anyone can tell, but really he has been cheating on his wife. When his affair ends after a disastrous fight, all he wants to do is be left alone. But when he gets home, his nine-year-old daughter Avery is unexpectedly home, and William cannot control his temper. Hours later, Avery has been declared missing, and all the neighbors have something to say about the Woolers. But as the title suggests, maybe some of these neighbors are not to be trusted.
