Writer Wilder Harlow, the focus of Catriona Ward's mind-bending thriller "Looking Glass Sound," is revisiting his past to write his latest book. While summering in Maine as a teen, Wilder began a tentative friendship with local Nat and a vacationer named Harper. Their bond was built on their shared love of local lore around the Dagger Man, a killer who left trophies of his kills behind. But the trio's friendship shattered the night they made a horrifying discovery and promised to never speak of it again. Now, Wilder attempts to write about what happened that night, but his memories of the evening are inconsistent, he's having hallucinations, and he comes back home to entire chapters of his book he doesn't remember writing. With something haunting him, Wilder knows he must get this story right before it's too late.
