Will Dean's "The Last One" plays with the concept of a final girl when a vacationer wakes up to no other passengers on board her cruise ship. Getting onto the RMS Atlantic was supposed to be a dream for Caz. She and her husband, Pete, would be starting the first day of the rest of their lives together on this cruise. Night one is full of everything Caz hoped for: delicious drinks, dancing until her feet hurt, and endless time with the love of her life. But the next morning, Pete is not in their room. As a matter of fact, there is no one in any of the rooms on the entire ship. Left to fend for herself in the Atlantic, Caz rushes to figure out what has happened to everyone on board and why she seems to be the only one left to survive.
