From GloRilla to Ice Spice, 23 Talented Artists to Watch in 2023

Over the last two years, Top Dawg Entertainment's Doechii has emerged as the hip-hop label's next big bet, dominating 2021 with her club-banging hit "Persuasive" (which got a remix featuring label mate SZA last summer) and releasing her sophomore EP, "She/Her/Black B*tch," in August. The Tampa, FL, native dropped her latest melodic single, "Stressed," back in October, but that's not all she has up her sleeve.

TDE's first lady of rap is currently cooking up her debut album and seems to be setting her sights on a new sound as she continues her rise to stardom. "There's a certain type of cocky rap that I got out of my system in ['She/Her/Black B*tch']. I'm really over that. I'm ready to create music and speak from the heart," Doechii told Complex in October. Now that she has the world's attention, 2023 could be the year Doechii shows us what else she has in her musical arsenal.
