"And Just Like That" social media accounts dropped a bomb on us in January when they posted a photo of Carrie holding hands with former fiancé Aidan. Since then, Parker has shared photos of Carrie and Aidan kissing, and on-set photos show them strolling along a Coney Island boardwalk. A season trailer shows that it's Carrie who reaches out first, with a "Hey stranger…" email — do those ever end well? According to Deadline, Corbett is set for a substantial multi-episode arc. Let's pray that isn't code for "situationship."
A quick refresher: The last time Carrie and Aidan saw each other was in Abu Dhabi in "Sex and the City 2," when they magically ran into each other after two failed attempts at a relationship. They spent a night catching up and shared a passionate kiss, all while they were both married to other people. Messy!
In the first "Sex and the City" movie, Carrie was all dressed up and ready to marry Big in a giant, corseted Vivienne Westwood wedding dress, topped with a bold feathered headpiece. In a gut-wrenching moment, Big gets cold feet and leaves her at the altar, resulting in Carrie beating him with flowers on a Manhattan street and giving us the iconic Charlotte line "I curse the day you were born!"
Carrie and Big ultimately reconcile and have a more low-key wedding, with Carrie opting for a simpler dress and leaving the Westwood in storage. Until now. On-set photos show Carrie donning the dress and the bird hat again, accessorizing with turquoise shoes and gloves. What's that all about? Is it a way to remember Big? A tribute to the late English designer? A dream sequence? Wild idea: Is she marrying Aidan?
