A sequel to "Sicario," the 2015 film written by Taylor Sheridan, "Sicario: Day of the Soldado" highlights the very real and ongoing battle between drug cartels and law enforcement. The film follows CIA assassin Alejandro Gillick (Benicio Del Toro) and CIA officer Matt Graver (Josh Brolin), who join forces to prevent terrorists from entering the country and work to end a fierce drug war that occupies the border between the United States and Mexico.
