Selena Gomez and BFF Julia Michaels teamed up for the first live performance of their collaborative song "Anxiety," and wow, these ladies have some serious vocal chops! Michaels was in the middle of a show at The Fonda Theater in Los Angeles on Monday night when she surprised fans by bringing Gomez on stage, which induced plenty of excited squeals and gasps. After instructing everyone in the audience to hug the person next to them, Michaels launched into the acoustic performance with her pal by her side, belting out raw, deeply personal lyrics about anxiety and depression. Although Gomez had a minor lyrical mixup, she adorably recovered like a total pro, and the duo clearly had a blast while singing and bopping along together.
The night after their performance, Michaels took to Instagram to give her bestie a sweet shoutout. "Thank you @selenagomez for the most epic headline show I've ever played. I love you beyond words and I'm so happy we finally got to sing our baby together," the 26-year-old singer wrote. Watch their entire performance above, and then check out the cool matching tattoos they got backstage after the show. Can these two release another collab already?!
