'Tis the Season! Taylor Swift Rerecorded "Christmas Tree Farm" Just in Time For the Holidays

Taylor Swift is full of surprises this month! Fresh off the buzz surrounding her rerecorded album, Red (Taylor's Version), Swift's latest surprise comes in the form of holiday cheer. On Nov. 22, Swift released a rerecorded version of her 2019 song, "Christmas Tree Farm." The tune is inspired by the Grammy-winning artist's experiences growing up on an actual Christmas tree farm in Pennsylvania. "In my heart is a Christmas tree farm / Where the people would come / To dance under sparkling lights / Bundled up in their mittens and coats / And the cider would flow / And I just wanna be there tonight," she sings, backed by a 70-piece orchestra this time around for a more timeless sound.

"This version is amazing because it feels like that more sorta laid back Christmas feel of doing all your shopping and relaxing by a fire, and it's definitely that old school Christmas feel," she told Amazon Music. The track, which is available exclusively through Amazon Music, was recorded at the iconic Abbey Road Studios in London. To celebrate the song's reimagination, Swift also dropped a new holiday-themed collection.
