It took less than 30 seconds for all four Voice coaches to turn their chairs around for one contestant's stirring audition. In the singing competition's episode on Monday, Ricky Duran performed a beautifully simple, yet no less impactful rendition of "River" by Leon Bridges. After beginning with a quick four-chair turnaround, the audition ended with a standing ovation from the noticeably moved coaches.

"That was a performance that clearly had us all from the beginning," said Blake Shelton, before complimenting Duran on his stage presence. Though fellow coaches John Legend, Gwen Stefani, and Kelly Clarkson went on to praise Duran for his tone and song choice, it was Shelton who ultimately ended up winning over the contestant. Above, watch the start of what we think will be a long journey on The Voice for Duran.
