Whoopi Goldberg is getting back in the habit — literally — for a revival of London's Sister Act musical! The actress stars as Deloris Van Cartier opposite Absolutely Fabulous alum Jennifer Saunders, who's playing Mother Superior, and she promises that fans of the original films won't be disappointed.
"Yes, the original Deloris is back," Goldberg says of reprising her iconic role in the West End production in a video celebrating the musical, above. "A little older, a little seasoned, but still a little out there."
Sister Act, which first hit theaters in 1992, is easily one of the best movies to come out of that decade. Now, over 25 years later, we can't wait to see Goldberg bringing back the joyous comedy that captured so many hearts way back when. If you're interested in seeing The View host perform at the Eventim Apollo in 2020, make sure you buy your tickets ASAP — she's only going to appear as the showgirl/nun in 39 performances between July 29 and Aug. 30 next year.
