Zero Only Just Debuted on Netflix, but Its Cast Already Made History
If you haven't checked out Zero on Netflix yet, please do yourself a favor and watch it ASAP. The action series debuted on April 21, and it's already made history as the first Italian show to spotlight a predominantly Black cast. Created by author Antonio Dikele Distefano, Zero follows a shy young man named Zero/Omar who discovers he can become invisible. As a result, he teams up with a group of neighborhood kids and uses his superpower to try to save Milan's Barrio neighborhood from being gentrified. The show features a cast of talented newcomers, including Giuseppe Dave Seke and Dylan Magon, as well as familiar faces Beatrice Grannò, Virginia Diop, and Madior Fall. Giuseppe Dave Seke as Zero/Omar
Giuseppe Dave Seke stars as the titular Zero, aka Omar, who discovers he holds the superpower of invisibility and uses it to help his friends frame a corrupt real estate developer. The series marks Seke's first major role as an actor.
Haroun Fall as Shariff
Haroun Fall plays Shariff, a local who ends up befriending Zero after initially chasing him down. Though Fall previously made his film debut in 2018's Arrivano i Prof, Zero marks his first TV role.
Beatrice Grannò as Anna
Beatrice Grannò takes on the role of Zero's love interest, Anna. Grannò has previously appeared in films like 2019's Wonder When You'll Miss Me and 2020's The Time of Indifference, as well as shows such as DOC - Nelle tue Mani.
Dylan Magon as Momo
Similar to Seke, Zero marks Magon's first major role. He plays a character named Momo, who is close friends with Shariff.
Daniela Scattolin as Sara
Daniela Scattolin plays Sara, who is also close friends with Shariff and owns a recording studio. She previously appeared in the TV series L'Ora - Inchiostro Contro Piombo.
Madior Fall as Inno
As Inno, Fall plays an aspiring singer and soccer player. Zero marks the fashion model's TV debut.
Virginia Diop as Awa
You may have seen Virginia Diop in 2019's Bar Joseph, but now she's portraying Zero's younger sister, Awa.
