We all say we'll refrain from it, but as soon as that little one arrives we can't help but turn on the baby talk. While this may annoy your nonmom acquaintances, it actually benefits your baby. A new study suggests stretching out vowels and speaking in a high-pitched voice helps infants with language development. By the age of 2, children of parents who spoke "baby" knew twice as many words as those who parents spoke normally.
