At 7 Weeks Postpartum, Daphne Oz Gets Real About Her Body: "There Is No Bounceback"

Daphne Oz is opening up about her postbaby body, and her honest words have moms everywhere screaming "preach, girl!" The former cohost of The Chew took to Instagram to show off her seven-week postpartum figure while wearing a bra and underwear and paired the mirror selfie with a powerful caption about the ups and downs of motherhood. "Seven weeks post partum, still looking three months pregnant. There is no bounce-back, it's all onwards and upwards," she wrote.

The mother of three, who welcomed a baby girl back in December, went on to describe how each day after giving birth has "moments of total splendor and also a decent number of WTFs." Hah, ain't that the truth! She noted that she especially wanted "new mamas" to take her words to heart "because we see so much of how glossy motherhood can be and not enough of how real 3D life is always complicated (and better for it)."

She continued: "Prepare to be amazed by some things and horrified by others. Motherhood is as complex and wonderful as the woman." Um, excuse us while we print out that last tidbit on a freakin' billboard; we couldn't have summed it up better ourselves!

As soon as Daphne shared her candid thoughts on Instagram, the post was flooded with hundreds of comments from mamas of the internet who appreciated her raw take on postpartum struggles. One follower commented, "Thank you for being so real about pregnancy and postpartum. You make us feel so much better and more confident in the beauty of pregnancy and body changes!" while another comforted user wrote, "Thank you for sharing something real. It is very discouraging to always see these women who look like they didn't just have a baby and then to look down and see your own stomach is still big and flabby. You look beautiful!"
