Fisher-Price Recalls More Than 30,000 Swings Because the Seat Can Fall Off

Fisher-Price has issued a recall of more than 30,000 of its popular baby swings due to a potential threat of injury to babies. The company is recalling three models of its Cradle 'n Swings after it was discovered that the seats can fall off if the seat pegs are not pushed in all the way. Fisher-Price has received two complaints about the malfunction, but no injuries have been reported so far.

The three recalled models include:

  • Soothing Savanna Cradle 'n Swing (CHM84)
  • Sweet Surroundings Cradle 'n Swing (CMR40)
  • Sweet Surroundings Butterfly Friends Cradle 'n Swing (CMR43)

The product numbers can be found under the pad in the seat.

If the recall applies to you, stop using the swing immediately and contact Fisher-Price online or by calling (800) 432-5437 Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. EDT for revised assembly instructions. Be sure to share the news with your parent friends — we'd hate to see children suffer from this scary malfunction.
