Aria Child has issued a voluntary recall for approximately 29,000 gb Qbit lightweight strollers due to claims that children ended up with bumps and bruises after the stroller folded on them while in use, and complaints from parents that their hands have gotten pinched when folding or unfolding the stroller. The strollers in question were manufactured between March 25, 2015, and March 9, 2016, and come in a variety of colors.
"Ensuring the safety of caregivers and children is Aria Child's top priority," said Aria Child SVP Technology Americas, Bill St. Pierre. "We value their trust in us and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."
To find out if your gb Qbit is being recalled, check the model number on the sticker placed on the rear leg of the stroller — directly above the wheels and next to the basket — and compare it to the following numbers (and colors):
- 10AW1G-AQU2U (aqua)
- 10AW1G-WHT2U (white)
- 10AW1G-CHA4U (charcoal)
- 10AW1G-RAS2U (raspberry)
- 10AW1G-CIR5U (citrus)
If you have an affected stroller, Aria Child is taking calls at its customer service center at 1-888-591-5540, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST, or you can register online for a replacement.
