A Black Panther Ride Might Already Be in the Works at Disney, Because Obviously
After its record-breaking box-office success and ongoing cultural impact, it's no surprise that Black Panther will soon have a larger presence in Disney parks. Several characters are already appearing at Disney's California Adventure. However, Disney CEO Bob Iger recently suggested that a ride could be on its way, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
At a recent conference with Wall Street analysts on Feb. 26, Iger acknowledged the Marvel movie as "an important moment in culture." When someone asked, "No ride?" Iger responded, "No. We haven't had a chance to build a ride . . . though I'm sure there are people who are working on it."
Though there seems to be no immediate plans to construct the ride, it's expected that Disney would already be brainstorming ideas. In the meantime, Iger confirmed that Black Panther will appear at the parks in many other ways. He said, "I pretty much guarantee that this coming Halloween, and even Christmas, you know you'll be seeing a lot of Black Panther merchandise."
