Mom of 13 Boys Is Pregnant With Number 14, and of Course, We All Want to Know If It's a Girl

Jay and Kateri Schwandt's family first made headlines back in 2015, when after having 12 sons in a row, Kateri became pregnant again. The internet speculated over whether lucky number 13 would be a little girl, but sure enough, she ended up having another boy. However, that last boy isn't going to be the baby of the family for much longer — Kateri and Jay announced that they're expecting baby number 14 in April, and no, they don't know the sex of the baby yet.

Jay says that all of the boys — Tyler, 25, Zach, 22, Drew, 20, Brandon, 18, Tommy, 16, Vinny, 15, Calvin, 13, Gabe, 11, Wesley, 9, Charlie, 7, Luke, 6, Tucker, 4, and Francisco, 2 — are really excited to have a new baby in the house again, but that there haven't been any "tell-tale signs" pointing to whether the baby is a boy or girl. "Many of the boys are hoping for a girl, but I believe that is just out of curiosity!" he told POPSUGAR. "We would have to make some drastic changes here if a baby girl came into the picture!"

As for supermom Kateri, she's feeling well, but admits that she doesn't have nearly as much energy at this stage in her pregnancy than she did with the other 13. "The boys and I are trying to pamper her and help out as much as we can," Jay said. However, Kateri's lack of energy is part of the reason the couple is thinking this may be their last child.

"We are just as excited about this pregnancy as we have been about all of the others," Jay told TODAY. "We miss having a baby around. But in general terms, we are beginning to feel like we might be done after this."
