These Sisters Took Disney Villains to the Extreme With 10 Incredible DIY Costumes

When Veronica Beauchamp's 8-year-old daughter Olivia asked to dress up as a Disney villain for their trip to Disneyland, she knew she had to go big in the DIY department. And according to Veronica's Instagram account, Sister Time at Disneyland, the results did not disappoint. Veronica, who also has 4-year-old little girl Vivienne, told POPSUGAR how she was up to the task: "I make every costume for my two little ones. It was my oldest's idea to do a villains theme this month and I just ran with it."

But deciding on what characters they wanted to be was the easy part. "After we all agree on a movie and theme, I start doing my research online because my main goal is to always get my costumes to be as precise to the original character's as possible. From there, I'll sketch it, make my materials list, go to my local fabric store, and start sewing."

And the craziest part of all? The self-taught costume designer is able to keep the cost of each look to $20 or less. "I never use patterns," explains Veronica. "And my budget for each costume is $20. I never try to go above my budget, but occasionally one costume will cost $25."
