Parents' Tattoos That Match Daughter's Birthmark Are the Ultimate Act of Love

There isn't much that we wouldn't do for our kids, and this British couple illustrated that level of unconditional love in a most beautiful way. Tanya and Adam Phillips's 18-month-old daughter, Honey-Rae, was born with a large, rose-colored birthmark that stretches from her right foot all the way up to her back.

In an effort to ensure that Honey-Rae viewed the birthmark as "something to feel proud of, not embarrassed by," Tanya told The Mirror that she and Adam took to the tattoo parlor to have almost identical markings created on their own legs. Adam got his tattoo last Christmas, and Tanya had her leg inked last week, on her 40th birthday.

When she showed the creation to her daughter, Tanya said, "She gently touched it and smiled as she said 'match' as she pointed to her own leg. If I'd have needed any reassurance that I'd made the right decision, that was it."
