Parents Shamed For Raising 2 Kids in "Tiny" Apartment Because Some People Are the Worst

Mike and Kelly Bruning are raising their 4- and 2-year-old boys in a San Diego apartment steps away from the bay, which is basically a kid's dream home location — but their neighbors have different thoughts on the matter. Although the couple has called their two-bedroom condo home for nearly nine years, they just received unsolicited advice from a neighbor that made them momentarily question raising their kids in such a tight space for the benefit of having the beach as a backyard.

"It's important that you know that you guys are about the most selfish parents around," starts a letter addressed to the couple that was dropped in their mailbox last week. "Because you like the beach, your boys are trapped in a tiny, one bedroom upstairs apartment. Kids need yard to play in. A swing set, or trike to ride when they want to, not just when it's convenient for you. I don't know this buy I doubt that either of you had to grow up under these conditions. SHAME ON YOU."

"The key thing is, it's really nobody's business," Mike told FOX5 News. "Yes it's a tight space inside, but we live here so they can experience being active in all that the outdoors has to offer." The couple posted the letter to their Facebook page and received nearly 100 positive comments encouraging their decision to live in such an amazing location.

"I can't believe this," one commenter wrote. "Another self-righteous person telling others how they should raise their kids. Ocean beach is awesome! These kids get to play at the beach under beautiful sunsets." We'd take the two-bedroom beach apartment in San Diego, that's for sure. Those boys seem to be doing just fine.
