Pink Thoughtfully Explains Why She Won't Share Photos of Her Kids on Social Media Anymore

Internet trolls are drawn to Pink like moths are drawn to light, always finding something to criticize when the singer shares a photo or video of her children on social media. While the 39-year-old mother of two has previously been quick to fire back and shut down the rude commenters, she's now nipping the hatred in the bud by choosing to no longer post about her two kids on Instagram altogether. Pink revealed this decision on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday, admitting, "So many people go in on me on social media."

One of the last family snapshots she shared was of her kids, 2-year-old Jameson and 7-year-old Willow, hanging out with a pelican that crashed their beach session. At first, Pink posted a photo that showed Jameson's genitals, but one too many hurtful comments about his circumcision led her to repost a new version with his penis scribbled over. "I cried so hard after that because I like to share my family," the artist told host Ellen DeGeneres. "It's my proudest moment in my whole life. I'm prouder of my kids than anything I've ever done." But ultimately, as proud as she may be, Pink is pulling back on sharing family moments on social media.

"I won't share them anymore. I won't do it; I'm not posting pictures of them anymore," she said. "I understand people saying, 'You need to be more careful because you're in the public eye and you should've thought of that,' and they're right, but there's a nice way to say that. There's a kind way to be online, and I'm open to kindness." Although we're certainly sad we won't be seeing any more pics of Jameson and Willow in our Instagram feeds, we're simultaneously glad to see Pink taking matters into her own hands like the boss she is.
